SMSU to get $1.2M from bonding bill

MARSHALL — The 2026 bonding bill that the Minnesota state legislature passed this week will help with facilities updates at Southwest Minnesota State University, as well as infrastructure improvements in several area communities. Lyon Co. Board OKs 2 swine barn permits

MARSHALL — Lyon County commissioners approved permit requests for a pair of swine barns this week. One request was for the expansion of an existing barn south of Cottonwood, while the other request was for construction of a new swine barn in Amiret Township.
