Community members discuss the ideas that shaped America

MARSHALL — For America's 250th anniversary, community members came to the Lyon County Museum to reflect on America's past — the ideas that shaped it, and what its future will look like. On Tuesday, the Minnesota Humanities Center hosted a “Declaration of Independence and Liberty: Then and Now Community Conversation.” The event included a full reading of the Declaration of Independence followed by small group discussion. Redwood Street intersection to close

MARSHALL — Drivers in Marshall should be aware of another new change to traffic starting today. Representatives of R and G Construction said the intersection of West Redwood street and East College Drive downtown will be closed starting Tuesday for paving work. At the same time, the intersection of West Lyon Street and East College Drive will be opened to allow traffic to cross. Minor injuries reported in Marshall crash

MARSHALL — One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash in Marshall on Monday night. The crash was reported at 10:52 p.m. at the intersection of East College Drive and South Hill Street, Marshall Police said. A 68-year-old woman was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, Police said.
