REDWOOD COUNTY — A Lucan woman was injured in a single-vehicle crash Tuesday evening on Minnesota Highway 68 in Redwood County, the Minnesota State Patrol said. Sandra Jean Witzke, 73, was transported to Avera Marshall Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries, the State Patrol said. The crash was reported at 6:17 p.m. near the intersection of Highway 68 and Redwood County Road 8. MARSHALL — Drivers in Marshall should be aware of a possible temporary road closing on part of Lyon Street downtown today, contractors said. In a construction update this week, Erika Coudron of R and G Construction said crews will need to close the Lyon Street/East College Drive intersection in order to saw and seal concrete joints in the new road surface. Depending on weather, crews plan to close the Lyon Street crossing from 10 a.m to 2 p.m. on July 2. The joint sealing work may not take the entire four-hour period, Coudron said.
