Voting day for local school levies

Marshall

MARSHALL – Community members of the Marshall Public School District can vote in today’s special election for the $2 million, 10-year operating referendum from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Marshall Middle School, entering through the main doors and following the signage. Voters can register online or in person with a valid ID and proof of residence.

Lakeview

COTTONWOOD – The special election for the Lakeview Public School’s capital project technology levy referendum of $250,000 annually for 10 years is being held today, and voters can cast their ballots from noon to 8 p.m.

Precinct 1 includes townships of Lucas, Vallers, Westerheim, Stanley, Fairview, city of Cottonwood, Lyon County, Sandnes, Normania and Yellow Medicine County. Precinct 1 voters can go to the Cottonwood Community Center.

Precinct 2 includes townships of Wood Lake, Posen, Sioux Agency, Minnesota Falls, city of Wood Lake and Yellow Medicine County. Precinct 2 voters can report to the Wood Lake Community Center.

MCC

SLAYTON – The Murray County Central special election to vote on revoking and replacing the current referendum is being held today at the Slayton Senior Center from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

MCC is looking to increase the current levy of $625.69 per pupil to $685 per pupil for 10 years, as the last increase to its referendum came in 2006.
