Bremer Bank locations reopen as Old National

MARSHALL — Nearly a year after a sale was announced, former Bremer Bank locations have now officially transitioned to Old National Bank.

In Marshall, new signs on the former Bremer building on East College Drive marked the change.

On Monday, former Bremer Bank branches reopened as Old National banking centers. An Old National Bancorp spokesperson said Monday that Bremer clients would be able to receive the same service they have come to expect over the years.

Rick Jillson, communications director at Old National Bancorp, said the bank had reached out to former Bremer clients in the weeks leading up to the transition. Former Bremer clients should have received detailed instructions by mail about activating their new Old National debit card, signing into online banking, and more, he said.

Clients with questions about the transition to Old National are encouraged to visit their Old National banking center, or call Old National’s client care team.

Last fall, Bremer Financial and Old National Bancorp announced that the Evansville, Indiana-based Old National Bank would acquire Bremer for $1.4 billion. At the time, a news release said the two organizations would merge to become the third largest bank in the Twin Cities. Old National said the partnership transaction with Bremer would include a total of 48 branches in Minnesota, 14 branches in North Dakota, and eight branches in Wisconsin.

Starting at $3.95/week.
