Fatal crash in Yellow Medicine County
OMRO TOWNSHIP – A Granite Falls woman was killed, and four people were injured, in a two-vehicle crash Saturday on Minnesota Highway 67, the Minnesota State Patrol said.
Amanda Jane Baumann, 45, was killed when her 2007 Chevrolet Impala collided with a pickup truck at the intersection of Highway 67 and Yellow Medicine County Road 11 in Omro Township, the State Patrol said.
The crash was reported at 3:18 p.m. A 2018 Ford F250 driven by Robert Charles Goble, 60, of Elk River, was westbound on Highway 67, and Baumann’s Chevrolet was northbound on County Road 11, when the vehicles collided in the intersection, the State Patrol said.
Baumann was killed in the crash, and four occupants of the pickup were taken to the Dawson hospital. The state patrol reported that Robert Goble and three passengers, 83-year-old Virginia Louise Goble, 33-year-old Ashley Sharlynn Skogen, and 31-year-old Emily Elizabeth Skogen, all received non life-threatening injuries.
The Yellow Medicine County Sheriff’s Office, Granite Falls Police, Clarkfield Fire Department, Dawson Ambulance and Canby Ambulance all responded at the crash scene.
