Snow could fall during game

MARSHALL — It looks like cold, flakey stuff might be falling from the sky over the Marshall area while people are watching a certain football game Sunday afternoon.

Tim Masters, meteorologist at the Sioux Falls, S.D., weather forecast office, said a “storm is moving into the area starting Sunday afternoon.”

The snow storm will stick around until “Monday afternoon or evening,” he said.

The weather watchers are “not quite certain about the snow amounts, but enough to shovel,” Masters said.

According to the National Weather Service website, “Confidence continues to grow that a winter storm will impact portions of the region this Sunday and Monday. There still remains enough uncertainty in the track of the storm and thus exact snowfall amounts are still a question. However, it does appear that some locations in the watch area could see at least moderate snow amounts (5+ inches). The storm track will continue to wobble over the next few days and thus potential snow amounts will also change.”
