Lyon County Sheriff’s deputies investigate the scene where a train hit a riding lawn mower on 140th Street near Balaton on Wednesday. According to Deputy Adam DeSutter, the female driver of the riding lawn mower suffered minor injuries after being thrown from the vehicle as it was being pushed along the tracks. DeSutter said the injured driver was transported by ambulance to Avera Marshall Regional Medical Center.
