LAC QUI PARLE COUNTY – A two car accident that killed one driver was reported at 4:52 a.m. Friday at the intersection of Lac Qui Parle County Road 25 and Lac Qui Parle County Road 2 is under investigation, the Lac Qui Parle County Sheriff’s Department said.

One driver was pronounced dead at the scene and the other was taken by ambulance to Johnson Memorial Hospital in Dawson with unknown injuries, the Sheriff’s Department said.

The names of those involved are being held until further investigation and until family members have been notified, the Sheriff’s Department said.

Dawson Ambulance, Dawson Fire Department, Boyd First Responders, Boyd Fire Department, Yellow Medicine County Sheriff’s Department, Clarkfield Fire and Ambulance, St. Leo Fire Department and the Minnesota State Highway Patrol assisted with the incident.
