Our brother Dustan passed quickly and unexpectedly the day after Palm Sunday this past week, giving new meaning to Good Friday for our family. First Lutheran giveaway garage sale First Lutheran Church in Marshall (100 Church Street) is having a giveaway garage sale from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, in their parking lot, and again from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday May 1. SMSU to host inaugural STEM Symposium

The Mathematics Program at Southwest Minnesota State University will host the inaugural STEM Symposium 6-7 p.m. Friday, April 25, in the Upper Conference Center. The STEM Symposium Series will to celebrate science, technology, engineering, and mathematics fields. SMSU Natural History Museum grand re-opening open house April 22

The Natural History Museum at Southwest Minnesota State University will host an open house 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, in Science & Math Building Room 107 to celebrate the museum’s grand re-opening following a remodel to the exhibit space. The new exhibits and interactive elements focus on the natural world of southwest Minnesota — the tallgrass prairie, birds, animals, ecosystems, and prairie pothole wetlands.
