MARSHALL — Caitlyn Schaeffer and Joseph Thompson announce their engagement. Parents of the couple are Rick and Michelle Schaeffer of Marshall and Tom and Lori Thompson of Hudson, Wis. Schaeffer is 2012 Marshall High School graduate and graduated with a bachelor of science in nursing from the College of St. Benedict in 2016. She is currently an RN at the U of MN Masonic Children’s Hospital on the Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant Unit in Minneapolis. Thompson is a 2010 Detroit Lakes High School graduate and graduated with a bachelor of arts degree from St. John’s University in 2014. He is a CPA for Ernst and Young, LLP in Minneapolis. The couple plans an Oct. 7, 2017, wedding in Marshall. The couple will live in Eden Prairie.
