Busy week of summer festivals ahead

It’s going to be a busy weekend in southwest Minnesota with summer festivals and special events planned in communities from Slayton to Dawson. Some of the events, like Balaton’s Fun Fest, are taking place on new dates. Organizers of Fun Fest listened to community feedback before trying out a new, earlier weekend for the festival, said Brita Fricke. Sharp drops in Big Tech companies pull indexes mostly lower on Wall Street

(AP) — Wall Street gave up more of its recent gains Tuesday after a sell-off in big technology stocks spread from Asia back to the U.S. over worries about potentially higher interest rates by the end of the year.
