LAMBERTON — After more than 50 years, an area weekly newspaper has changed owners. This week, the Lamberton News announced that new publisher Wendy Krier officially took ownership of the paper on Feb. 17. Krier has been the publisher of the Springfield Advance-Press for the past five years. The Lamberton News has had a long history of family ownership. Joseph and Dorothy Dietl bought the newspaper in 1969, a news release said. The Dietl family continued a tradition that started when the Lamberton News was founded in 1920.
