Downtown concert planned for SMSU homecoming
MARSHALL — Part of Southwest Minnesota State University’s homecoming celebrations will be held downtown this year, university spokespeople confirmed Friday. A free outdoor concert will be held in downtown Marshall after the homecoming football game Oct. 3. “Everyone is excited to see how it goes,” said Nathan Polfliet, associate vice president of advancement at SMSU. Having the concert downtown will be a good way to bring Marshall and SMSU community members together, he said.
