PREP SPORTS ROUNDUP: Marshall cruises past Pipestone Area

PIPESTONE -- The Marshall boys basketball team entered Monday's game hoping to continue its hot month. Winners of eight straight going in, the Tigers extended its streak to nine with a 69-49 win over Pipestone Area.

Bryce Paulsen led Marshall with 15 points and five rebounds.

Noah Puetz added 12 points and six rebounds in the win, while Josh Baker, Matt Hmielewski and Bryce Lance scored 10 points apiece.

Josh Tinklenberg led Pipestone Area with 24 points.

Marshall (18-5) returns to the court today with a home game against Sioux Falls Roosevelt.

Ethan Thovson led the way for Canby with 19 points. Will Varcoe added 18 points in the win, while Tyler Sayre finished with 14 points.

Rylan Fogelson led TMB with 19 points and nine rebounds. Jake Tauer and Trevor Larson added 14 points apiece in he loss while Jett Davis finished with nine points.

Grace Woelber scored a team-high 11 points for WWG. Kelly Berglund added six points in the loss, while Alli VandeKieft and Camryn Bunting scored two points apiece.
