MARSHALL - The Section 3A girls basketball playoff brackets were released on Wednesday, with multiple area teams receiving their seedings for the postseason.
The top-ranked team in Class A, Minneota, received the No. 1 seed in the North bracket. The Vikings will face the winner of the No. 8 Canby/No. 9 Dawson-Boyd game on Feb. 23 in Montevideo. The Lancers and Blackjacks will play on Feb. 21 in Canby.
Lakeview earned the No. 5 seed in the North and will face No. 4 seed Yellow Medicine East on Feb. 23 in Montevideo. Russell-Tyler-Ruthton earned the No. 6 seed in the North and will face No. 3 seed Wabasso on Feb. 23 in Montevideo. Lac qui Parle Valley earned the No. 2 seed in the North and will face No. 7 seed MACCRAY on Feb. 23 in Montevideo.
In the South bracket, Westbrook-Walnut Grove earned the No. 8 seed and will host No. 9 seed Heron Lake-Okabena on Feb. 21 in Westbrook. The winner between the Chargers and Wildcats will head to Worthington on Feb. 23 to face No. 1 seed Hills-Beaver Creek.
Murray County Central earned the No. 4 seed in the South and will face No. 5 seed Adrian on Feb. 23 in Worthington. Southwest Minnesota Christian earned the No. 2 seed and will face No. 7 seed Ellsworth on Feb. 23 in Worthington. Finally, Red Rock Central earned the No. 3 seed and will face No. 6 seed Edgerton on Feb. 23 in Worthington.
