MARSHALL - Below are the five players who were named to the Marshall Independent All-Area Girls Basketball First Team for the 2017-18 season.
Kaylee Kirk

Stats: 12.0 ppg, 4.1 rpg, 243 assists, 170 steals, 21 3-pointers

Lydia Sussner

Stats: 18.7 ppg, 11.4 rpg, 76 assists, 107 steals, 34 blocks

Evelyn Dolan

Quotable: "Evelyn’s game is all about effort, and few people in the state play with more than she does. A very instinctive and natural rebounder, she always plays with great effort and hustles after every loose ball. Jordyn Hilgemann

Stats: 17.2 ppg, 3.6 rpg, 59 assists, 44 steals, 43 3-pointers
Quotable: “Jordyn was a key addition to our team this season. Her talents on both ends of the floor helped put our team in position to play for a conference championship. Sydney Lanoue

Stats: 12.7 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 77 assists, 135 steals
Quotable: “Syd’s versatility allowed her to score from just about anywhere on the floor, but she was at her best when she was driving to the basket. Given her strength, speed and quickness she proved to be very difficult to guard in most situations. Her improved 3-point shot allowed her to step away from the basket and still be a threat.
