PREP ATHLETICS: Sueker signs with School of the Mines

MARSHALL The prep sports signing day carousel continued to spin Monday morning, as Mitchell Sueker of Marshall signed his National Letter of Intent to play men’s basketball at South Dakota School of Mines and Technology.

A 6-foot, 8-inch small forward/shooting guard, Sueker will finish up his senior season with the Tigers before graduating in May.

As a junior, Sueker helped lead the Tigers to a 22-1 record in the regular season, including a 22-game win streak after Marshall lost its first game of the year. The Tigers finished with an overall record of 24-2 after falling to Waseca 103-100.

Next fall, Sueker will join the Hardrockers, who finished the 2015-16 season with an overall record of 10-16, including an 8-14 mark in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.

South Dakota School of Mines and Technology is located in Rapid City, S.D.

Sueker plans to major in electrical engineering.
