Braylee died Monday, Nov. 13, 2017, at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis.

Braylee Jo Pridal was born April 3, 2012, in Sioux Falls, SD. On her third day of life she was diagnosed with a life long illness called LCHAD. Braylee was granted her precious angel wings on Nov. 13, 2017, after a brave and courageous battle. In her short, yet very memorable life she touched many hearts.

Braylee’s life would seem too short to many, but those who knew her understood that the quality of existence far exceeds that quantity of time in which one lives. She never let LCHAD define who she was. Her infectious smile could melt the heart of anyone around her. She had a heart of gold and wouldn’t leave without hugs from everyone.

Although many days of her life she faced obstacles and overcame incredible challenges with such inspirational strength, her courage led us to believe that each day is a blessing and an opportunity to create lasting memories that we will always hold dear to our hearts. She attended kindergarten at Canby Elementary school; even though when school hours were done she continued to play “school” and wanted to do her homework. She could spend hours using her imagination dancing and singing at the top of her lungs. She loved to color and do any craft activity possible. She loved spending the summer months doing our “camping” trips with family and friends, sitting around the campfire, and swimming like a fish. Every spring and fall she enjoyed being daddy’s farm girl styling in her farm boots. Wherever Braylee was many stuffed animals were always close by. Braylee was very proud to be Briella’s big sister (AKA Tornado Baby) and Briella adored Braylee and wanted to be by her side always.

With Braylee’s passing we want to remind others that her life is one to be celebrated. Although we will miss her every day, especially her adorable smile, she will forever live in our hearts. Through her teachings about life, we were able to create wonderful memories and it has been a privilege to be her parents.

Braylee’s love extended to all of her wonderful caregivers, the nurses and medical professionals that enhanced her life throughout the years.

Braylee is survived by her loving parents, Jarrett and Brittany Pridal of Canby; sister, Briella Pridal; paternal grandparents, Steve Peters and Grace Pridal-Peters, Jerry and Tess Pridal; maternal grandparents, Terry and Karol Haas; uncles Stephen Pridal and Chaske (Tasha) Faulk; aunts: Lacie (Keith) Petersen, Markeela (Matt) Toreen, Chelsea (Jamie) Moiser and Shonteera Haas; 12 very special cousins; great-grandparents: Jim and Sylvia Pridal, Marvel Haas, Henrietta VanDyke, Emil and Madie Sik, Esther Hoffman and Rich and Alice Peters; and godmother, Erin Hewer.

Braylee was joined in heaven by great-grandfathers Wallace Hoffman, Leo Haas and Gerrit VanDyke; great-grandmother, Joan Sik; and special uncle, Jeffery Hoffman.
