YELLOW MEDICINE COUNTY -- One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash reported at 11 a.m. Thursday at the intersection of Minnesota Highway 23 and Yellow Medicine County Road 39, the Minnesota State Patrol said. A Ford Aerostar van driven by Lynn June Christopherson, 80, of Hansville, Wash., pulled out of Prairie's Edge Lane to go south on Highway 23, but went into the right lane instead of the left lane, the State Patrol said. A Dodge pickup driven by Thomas Stanley Veigel, 66, of Ghent, was unable to stop in time and rear-ended the van, the State Patrol said. Christopherson was taken to the Granite Falls hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
