LAKE BENTON — A Lake Benton man who died Saturday was injured in an accident with farm equipment, the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office said.

Around 3:47 p.m., the Sheriff’s Office received an emergency call about a person who had fallen off a bulldozer. Lake Benton First Responders, the Lake Benton Fire Department, Tyler Ambulance and the Sheriff’s Office all responded at a rural Lake Benton residence.

Emergency responders arrived to find CPR was being performed on Brian John Krog, 69. The accident wasn’t witnessed, but factors like the description of the accident scene made it seem likely Krog was run over by the bulldozer, a news release from the Sheriff’s Office said.

Emergency responders continued CPR efforts and transported Krog to Avera Tyler Hospital. Krog was later pronounced dead.

Funeral services for Krog will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 2, at St. John Cantius Catholic Church in Ivanhoe.
