The Marshall-Lyon County Library, in collaboration with the Marshall Area Stage Company, is having a cemetery walk at 3:30 p.m. and again at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, at the Marshall Cemetery. "Meet" fascinating past residents of Marshall who are buried there. Author, historian and paranormal expert Adrian Lee will be available at the 3:30 p.m. cemetery walk for an exploration of the iconography of our local graves.
These events are free and open to the public. Free-will donations accepted at the cemetery.
Please dress appropriately for an approximately hour-long outdoor walk.
There will also be two events at the library on Saturday. Minnesota mystery writers Bill Anderson (aka A.W. Powers), Barbara Deese, and Christine Husom will present at 1 p.m. They will talk about how historical events have inspired their writing, the challenges of researching our past, and how we walk a fine line between mystery and history when writing "Mystorical Minnesota." Lee will discuss the paranormal at 5 p.m.
