Avera Marshall launched a High-Risk Breast Clinic in March 2026 as an extension of Avera McKennan’s program. Through collaboration with breast health experts across Avera, the clinic provides specialized care for patients at increased risk of breast cancer, including risk assessment, screening recommendations and risk-reduction planning. Patients are seen locally by Dr. Rosa Avendano, Family Medicine. Bringing this service to Marshall expands access to expert, preventive breast care while allowing patients to receive specialized care closer to home.
