The Lyon County Museum will be closed on Monday, Sept. 7, for Labor Day. There will be no Genealogy Club for the month of September.
The next monthly veterans coffee will be 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 1, at the Lyon County Museum, 301 West Lyon Street, Marshall. The monthly coffee is the first Tuesday of the month and is open to all veterans. Enjoy coffee, water, juice, and treats while visiting with fellow veterans in the ice cream shop at the museum. The Lyon County Historical Society (LCHS) is currently seeking volunteers to fill four positions on the board of directors for a 2-year term. The Lyon County Historical Society is governed by a 9-member board of directors. The board of directors meets the 3rd Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. every other month.
