Avera Tyler Hospital (240 Willow St, Tyler) will host a blood drive from 9 a.m. to noon and 1:30-4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25. Donors can schedule a donation by logging into www.cbblifeblood.org, selecting "Donate Now," "Blood Drive Calendar," and select August 25 or call Community Blood Bank at 605-331-3222. All who donate blood will receive a $15 Dairy Queen gift card and an All American blood donor T-shirt as thank you gifts.
In order to donate blood a person must be: at least 17 years old (16 with signed parental consent), weigh 110 lbs. or more, be in good general health, bring a valid ID, eat well and stay hydrated beforehand.
