Dementia Awareness Week is June 15-19, and there will be activities throughout the week. Boulder Creek is having virtual dementia tours by appointment from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday-Wednesday, June 15-17. Call Jan at 507-929-1234 to schedule a tour.

“Moments of Joy” will be presented at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 16, in the Boulder Creek community room.

Hill Street Place will have an open house from 1:30-6 p.m. Wednesday, June 17.

The Walk for Memories will be from 4-6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 18, at the Red Baron Arena. Honor walk will be at 5:30 p.m. The event includes vendor booths, interactive and educational activities, a petting zoo, Squeeze the Stuffins and food. Walk for Memories aims to raise dementia awareness, learn more about dementia, and show support to those living with the disease and their caregivers.

Road closure announcement

The intersection of Saratoga Street and South Fifth Street will be closed at 7 a.m. Monday and will reopen on Thursday morning.

Access will be restricted. Alternate routes will be necessary. All vehicles are recommended to be parked on adjacent streets during this time. No through-traffic will be allowed within the project area.
