The Marshall Speech Team attended the Mankato East Speech Tournament on Saturday and brought home a fourth-place trophy.

Those students who advanced to varsity finals and placed in the top six in their respective categories were: Sydney Larson, second in prose and third in oratory; Nathan Larsen, second in creative; expression; Berlin Kass and Kaden Deuel, second in duo; Maddy Carrow, third in informative, and Foster Moore, sixth in great speeches.

Those students placing in the top six in the second tier of finals, next-in, were: Anastasia Schulte, first in humorous; Berlin Kass, second in drama; Keira Steinhaus, first in extemp reading; Sawyer Bresnahan, fourth in discussion; Natalie Brandl, fourth in drama; Amelia Schnoor, fourth in humorous; Xavier Rabaey, fifth in Oratory, and Lolita Smith, 6th in Humorous. Novice competitors who placed in the top 6 of their final round were: Suzie Holland, 2nd in Drama; Carter Price, 4th in discussion; Aleyah Klogo, fourth in drama; Anastasia Schulte, fourth in extemp reading; and Tracy Juutilainen, sixth in prose.
