In Recognition
I am writing to express my sincere gratitude to the Pride in the Tiger Foundation for their generous support of our school’s arts education programming. Their monetary contribution has made it possible for our K-8th grade students to participate in a week-long theater program led by a professional children’s theater company.
This program represents far more than simply an introduction to the performing arts. It provides our students with invaluable opportunities to develop essential life skills that will serve them well beyond the classroom. Throughout this week-long experience, they are learning to work collaboratively, communicate effectively, think creatively, and build confidence in public speaking and self-expression. These skills are being cultivated in an engaging, hands-on environment that allows students to discover their voices and talents in ways that traditional classroom settings may not always provide.
Beyond the academic and personal development benefits, this theater program fosters a sense of community and inclusivity across all grade levels. Students from kindergarten through eighth grade are engaging with professional artists, learning theatrical techniques, and discovering the power of storytelling. They are developing empathy by exploring different characters and perspectives, and building self-assurance as they step outside their comfort zones. The program demonstrates that the arts are not merely enrichment activities, but vital components of a well-rounded education.
The support from the Pride in the Tiger Foundation has transformed what could have been an inaccessible opportunity into a reality for our entire student body. Their investment in our youth demonstrates a commitment to holistic education that values creativity, collaboration, and personal growth alongside traditional academics.
On behalf of our K-8th grade students, our staff, and myself, I extend our heartfelt thanks to the Pride in the Tiger Foundation for believing in the power of the arts and in our students’ potential.
Sincerely,
