New Tavern 507 restaurant comes to Marshall

Beginning this fall, residents of Marshall will have a new sports-themed restaurant to enjoy at Tavern 507, located next to the also-new EverSpring Inn & Suites on the corner of Highway 19 and Highway 23.

Tavern 507 will bring a focus on “the simple things, done great,” including a lineup of meaty wings and flavorful sauces, locally-sourced black angus and bison burgers, and an inviting “game on” atmosphere designed to be the perfect hub for sports fans of all generations.

With SMSU, Red Baron Arena and Marshall High School all visible from Tavern 507’s fireplace patio, the restaurant will be a place to catch anything from your favorite NFL Sunday showcase to the excitement of March Madness. The brand-new outdoor patio will be the perfect place to enjoy a summer or fall evening drink or meal, featuring a cozy seating area, multiple fireplaces, and of course, multiple large HDTVs.

The restaurant will function alongside the Marshall Event Center, currently under renovation. When complete, the updated site will provide an all-in-one event space, featuring both Tavern 507 and the EverSpring Inn & Suites, that aims to return the property as a source of pride for residents of Marshall when hosting visitors and guests,

“We envisioned Tavern 507 becoming the place in Marshall where members of all generations can meet to share their passion for the game,” said Kyle Schock, CEO of Bird Dog Hospitality. “With dozens of TVs, including one over 100, a menu focused on traditional items done great (with some Midwest flair), and a huge selection of brews, spirits and more, it will be the perfect place to either catch a game or simply enjoy a fantastic meal with your friends and family.”

The menu will provide a collection of made-from-scratch options with a local Midwest touch. Tavern 507 plans to bring a selection of upscale finger food — house-made chips loaded with bacon and cheese, a tantalizing variety of signature wing sauces, a taco salad the size of Lyon County, and of course, handcrafted, locally-sourced black angus and bison burgers.

The restaurant will also have no shortage of beverage options, including a bevy of tap lines and craft beer options and spirits.

Tavern 507 will be the fourth restaurant for Bird Dog Hospitality, the ownership group who is based out of Sioux Falls, S.D., and also manages the adjacent EverSpring Inn & Suites, which is currently under construction and slated for a late summer/early fall completion date. Other restaurant locations for Bird Dog include Green Mill restaurants in both New Ulm, and Shoreview, as well as The Prairie Club, an independent golf resort in rural Valentine, Nebraska.

“We couldn’t be more excited to plant even deeper roots in the Marshall community,” said Schock. “The entire town has been nothing but welcoming and encouraging in our first few months here and we’re excited for what the future has in store for both Tavern 507 and the entire Marshall community.”
