n The Marshall Aquatic Center will open on Saturday, June 2. Marshall Aquatic Center season passes are available to purchase at the Marshall Community Services office (in person or by calling 537-6767) or online at www.ci.marshall.mn.us.
n Minor league T-ball for boys and girls entering preschool (ages 3-5 and not entering kindergarten) will be held at Legion Field from 8-8:45 a.m. from June 4-June 28. Participants have the choice of meeting on Mondays, Tuesday, Wednesdays or Thursdays. Fee: $20 if registered by 5/25, $30 if registered after 5/25.
n Junior baseball for boys and girls entering grades 2-4 will begin Monday, June 4. Practices will be Mondays and Wednesdays at 9 a.m., 10 a.m., 11 a.m. and noon at Legion Field. Games will be Tuesday and Thursday evenings at the softball complex (Channel Parkway). Fee: $50 if registered by 5/25, $60 if registered after 5/25.
n Youth Tiger gymnastics lessons will begin the week of June 4 in the gymnastics room at the Marshall High School. Session 1 will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays, and Session 2 will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Tiny Tuckers (ages 3-5) will meet from 8-8:30 a.m. Junior Tumblers (ages 5-12) will meet from 8:35-9:20 a.m. Hot Shots (ages 6-12) will meet from 9:25-10:10 a.m. Tiger Stars (ages 6-12) will meet from 10:15-11 a.m. Bouncing Boys (ages 3-7) will meet from 11:05-11:35 a.m. Fee: $24 per person.
n MCS Small Group gymnastics lessons will begin the week of June 4 in the Marshall High School gymnastics room. Session 1 will meet Mondays and Wednesdays, and Session 2 will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Ages 5-8 will meet from 6:30-7 p.m. or 7-7:30 p.m. Ages 9-12 will meet from 7:30-8 p.m. or 8-8:30 p.m. These small group lessons will enhance skill learning and lesson effectiveness using individual attention on each gymnast in a great learning environment. Fee: $60 per person.
n Marshall hockey summer training program will begin the week of June 4 at the Red Baron Arena & Expo. This program, for both boys and girls, is designed for hockey players to create a positive hockey environment that instills a love of the game and develops the skills essential to be a competitive hockey player. Sessions are scheduled for Bantams, Mini Mites/Mites, Squirts, U10/U12, Boys High School and Pee Wee. Fee varies depending on the level.
n Three-Two-Run Track program will be Mondays (June 4-25) from 8-8:45 a.m. at the Marshall Middle School Track. Boys and girls entering grades K-2 will be introduced to the great sport of track and field by running and jumping their way to meeting new friends and skills. Fee: $20 per person.
n Girls basketball summer school will be on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from June 4-July 12 at the Marshall Middle School Gym. Grades 3-4 will meet from 9-10 a.m., and grades 5-6 will meet from 10-11 a.m. This program is designed to help players improve individual skills including ball handling with either hand, passing, proper shooting techniques, game-like decision making and playing the full court game. Fee: $45 per person.
n Girls’ volleyball instructional league will be from June 4 through July 12 at the Marshall High School. Grades 9-12 will meet Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8-9:45 a.m. Grades 7-8 will meet on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:45-11:15 a.m. Grades 4-6 will meet on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m. Fee: $60 per person.
n “Disney’s The Aristocats” children’s theater workshop for students entering grades 3-8 will be June 4 through June 15 from 8 a.m.-noon in the SMSU Fine Arts Theater. Performances will be at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. June 15. Students will create the posters, sets and costumes, and learn about drama, dance, music and behind-the-scenes theater. Fee: $50 per person.
n Children’s theater “High School Musical” workshop for students entering grades 9-12 will be from 1-4 p.m. June 4 through June 15 in the SMSU Fine Arts Theater. Performances will be June 15 and June 16. Fee: $50 per person.
n Open skate summer membership will be Mondays and Wednesdays from 1-3 p.m. from June 4-July 30. The fee is only $35 per person and includes skate rental.
n Adult open hockey summer membership will be Tuesdays from 7-9 p.m. from June 5-July 31. The fee is only $35 per person and includes skate rental.
n Red Cross Learn-to-Swim evening lessons will be June 5-28 (Tuesday and Thursday) at the Marshall Aquatic Center — outdoor pool. Level 1 is offered from 5:35-6:15 p.m. Levels 2-4 are offered from 5:35-6:25 p.m. Fee: $40 per person.

n Tiger Rising Stars track & field camp will be Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8-8:45 a.m. from June 5-28 at the Marshall Middle School Track. This program is for boys and girls in grades 3-8 and will teach basic running, jumping and throwing skills through track and field events. Fee: $30 per person.
n Fun basketball will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from June 5-June 21 at Park Side School gym. Boys and girls entering preschool through 1st grade will meet from 8:30-9:15 a.m. Boys and girls entering grades 2-3 will meet from 9:30-10:15 a.m. Fee: $30 per person.
n Girls Tiger varsity/JV summer hockey team camp will be Wednesdays from 7:30-8:45 a.m. and on Thursdays from 7-8:15 p.m. from June 6-July 26 (no camp the week of July 2) at the Red Baron Arena & Expo. Power skating, skill development, stick handling, and team concepts for both offense and defense will be stressed. Fee: $220 per player.
n Origami for Kids! will be June 11-14 (Monday-Thursday) at the Marshall High School. Grades 1-8 will meet from 10:30 a.m.-noon. Learn how to fold decorative, cool and useful items — all out of a sheet of paper. Fee: $35 per person.
n Wacky Wire Hose Sculpture will be June 11-15 (Monday-Friday) at the Marshall High School. Grades 1-4 will meet from 10:30 a.m.-noon, and grades 5-8 will meet from 1-2:30 p.m. Use a wood base, wire and stretchy fabric to make some fun sculptures. Fee: $35 per person — a $5 material fee is payable to instructor at first class.
n Legos Racers will be June 11-15 (Monday-Friday) at the Marshall High School. Grades 1-4 will meet from 10:30 a.m.-noon. Designs/topics included will be wind, rubber band, balloon, gravity-powered cars. Fee: $35 per person.
n Driver education classroom openings: The next classroom session of driver education will be June 10 through June 29. The program will begin with a Parent/Teen session at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, June 10, at the Marshall Middle School, and classroom sessions will be Monday through Friday at the MERIT Center. Students must be age 14 before they begin the classroom. A completed contract (with both parent/guardian and student signatures) and the registration fee are required to hold a spot in the class. n MCS Red Baron Arena evening open skate will be from 7-10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays from 7-9 p.m. Sundays. Open adult hockey will be from 7-9 p.m. Wednesdays. Admission for open skate and open hockey is $5 per skater with rental skates available for $3. Open family skate will be from 2-4 p.m. Sundays as the facility schedule permits.
