MCC moves to 2-0 after 6-5 win over SW United
Murray County Central stole eight bases, and Mitchell Woldt and Kellen Johnson struck out a combined nine batters as the Rebels improved to 2-0 on the season with a 6-5 Red Rock Conference win over Southwest United on Tuesday.
Woldt pitched 3 1/3 innings of relief to get the win for the Rebels (2-0, 1-1).
Garrett Johnson and Kyle Schreier both had two hits for MCC, and Schreier also knocked in two runs.
Paul Messner walked twice, stole three bases and scored two runs, and Jordan Ahlers drove in two runs for MCC.
The Rebels play at Red Rock Central on Thursday.
