TRACY — Braelynn Kirk stepped up big time in the back row for the Tracy-Milroy-Balaton volleyball team on Tuesday as the Panthers earned a 25-8, 25-12, 25-9 sweep of Yellow Medicine East in Camden Conference play. Kirk finished with a game-high 19 digs, as well as four kills in the match. Her back-row efforts were aided by another 15 digs by Lauren Knakmuhs, and Melaina Ankrum set the tone at the net with three ace blocks. PRINSBURG — The Dawson-Boyd volleyball team wasn’t able to avoid its eighth consecutive loss on Tuesday, falling 25-14, 25-14, 25-16 to No. 7 Central Minnesota Christian in Camden Conference play. Kadyn Perkins led Dawson-Boyd in several facets of the game, leading the team with nine digs and four service aces while tying Stella Roth with a team-high five kills. Emma Stotesbery logged 15 set assists as well as eight digs. The Blackjacks drop to 4-10 and return to action on Thursday when they host Ortonville (6-8) at 7:15 p.m.
