HILLS — Red Rock Central took the opening set but was unable to maintain its momentum Tuesday, falling to Hills-Beaver Creek in four sets. The Falcons opened with a 25-19 victory before the Patriots responded with three consecutive set wins of 25-19, 25-18 and 25-14 to secure the match. Zoey Keck led Red Rock Central offensively with 10 kills, while Kendra Schroeder and Natasha Erickson added four kills apiece. Marshall earns No. 2 seed in section tournament, eyes third straight state tournament trip

MARSHALL — Marshall football has become accustomed to a challenging schedule over the years, and this season has been no exception. The Tigers enter the final week of the regular season with a 5-2 record and a No. 3 ranking in the state. The only teams ahead of Marshall are defending state champion Orono, which defeated the Tigers 20-7 in Week 6, and second-ranked Willmar, which handed Marshall a 34-14 loss in Week 3. ADRIAN — The Westbrook-Walnut Grove volleyball team overcame a two-set deficit to earn a five-set victory over Adrian/Ellsworth on Monday, winning 22-25, 16-25, 25-16, 25-15, 15-11. INDIANAPOLIS – The Southwest Minnesota State University volleyball team is listed No. 5 in the initial NCAA Power Index (NPI) Central Region rankings released on Monday morning. The NPI is the new metric NCAA tournament teams will be selected in all Division II sports for the 2026-27 season.
