BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. – The Southwest Minnesota State University women's golf team opened the 2026-27 season on Tuesday finishing round one of the 16-team Central Region Fall Preview with a 34-over-par 322 at the Adams Pointe Golf Club. SMSU is currently in a tie for 14th place, but trails 10th place Newman University by just six strokes. Vikings rally for comeback win over Chargers

WESTBROOK — Minneota volleyball hit the road for its second match of the season, taking on Westbrook-Walnut Grove in a battle with the Chargers. The Vikings appeared to be in control early, cruising to a 25-16 victory in the opening set. However, WWG responded by taking the next two sets, 26-24 and 27-25, to put Minneota in a 2-1 hole. Tigers secure statement win to open season

MARSHALL — Despite a slow start to their season opener, Marshall football quickly showed why it has made the state tournament in each of the last two seasons, rolling to a 49-14 victory over Westonka on Friday night. Tigers tennis battles against Worthington

WORTHINGTON — Looking for its second meet victory of the season, Marshall girls tennis traveled to Worthington and kept the meet competitive throughout, but ultimately fell to the Trojans 6-1. The Tigers’ lone victory came in singles, where Kathryn Coudron battled back to defeat Worthington’s Lily Brown in three sets, 4-6, 7-5, 10-8.
