Wabasso’s season ends with loss to Central Minnesota Christian

MARSHALL -- Kenley Guetter's team-leading 12 digs and 12 kills weren't enough to help the No. 6 Wabasso Rabbits stage an upset against No. 2 Central Minnesota Christian in the 3A North volleyball semifinals on Monday, falling in straight sets 25-17, 25-22, 25-17.

In addition to Getter, the Rabbits also got defensive production from Ava Samyn's two ace blocks. Britta Brand and Lanna Janeiro-Dolan added back-row support with 10 and eight digs, respectively.

Janeiro-Dolan also contributed 11 set assists, followed by Cassie Bliss' nine, and her pair of service aces tied Brand for a team high.

Wabasso closes its season at 14-12. With no seniors on the roster, the Rabbits are set to return their full team next year.
