MARSHALL -- Marshall senior Kathryn Coudron was named an All-Conference honorable mention selection following the Tigers’ girls tennis season.

Coudron played No. 1 singles for Marshall throughout the season, taking on the opposing team’s top player in each match. She finished with a 3-14 record and also picked up a win in the first round of the individual section tournament before falling in the quarterfinals to Sam Williams, who went on to finish second in the state tournament.

Marshall head coach Alex Cleppe said Coudron has been part of the program since seventh grade and has consistently represented what it means to be a Tiger.

"Over the course of her career, she has embodied what it means to be a Marshall Tiger," Cleppe said. "Strong work ethic, great practice attitude, and a never give up attitude in her matches."

As a senior, Coudron stepped into a leadership role, setting an example for her teammates through her work ethic and preparation.

"This year she stepped into a leadership role as a senior. Kathryn is a player who leads by example," Cleppe said. "Her hard work and practice habits set the tone for others on the team."

Cleppe also praised Coudron’s effort throughout the season, particularly while competing against the top players from opposing teams.

"She competed in all her matches with the attitude and effort that represented the Marshall Tiger program well," Cleppe said.
