GRANITE FALLS -- Beau Laleman scored five total touchdowns for the Lakeview football team on Friday night as the Lakers routed Yellow Medicine East. Lakeview scored 16 points in each of the first two quarters and never let up, cruising to a 64-6 win.
Laleman finished as the Lakers' leading rusher with six carries for 97 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He also led the team as a pass-catcher with a pair of receptions for 51 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and he logged a pick-6 on defense.
Logan Herrick was also a heavy contributor on the ground with seven carries for 45 yards and a three total touchdowns, while Chance Kosel toted the ball eight times for 89 yards and a touchdown. Herrick also completed his lone pass attempt for a 28-yard touchdown to Laleman.
Austin Eischens came down with three interceptions for Lakeview, and Herrick led the team with seven total tackles. Blake Peltier also accounted for five total tackles and a sack, while Connor Bennett led YME with four tackles.
Teagan Neuman completed four of his seven pass attempts for 65 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Liam Anderson was under center for YME, completing six of his 15 attempts for 65 yards, a touchdown to Kolten Blankenhagen and three interceptions. Caysen Lien led the Sting on the ground with six attempts for 23 yards.
Lakeview improves to 2-3 and next hosts Canby (1-4) on Friday at 7 p.m., while YME falls to 0-5 and aims to capture its first win when it hosts Madelia (0-5) at the same time.
