WACONIA -- The Canby cross-country teams turned in strong performances at their conference meet in Waconia, highlighted by a second-place finish from the varsity girls, a fourth-place finish from the varsity boys and a championship from the junior varsity girls.

The varsity girls finished second as a team, led by Mya Pesek, who placed third overall, and Taylor Ourada, who finished 10th. Both runners earned All-Conference honors for their performances.

The varsity boys placed fourth, with Tallen Merritt finishing seventh and Kendon Knutson taking eighth. Both runners also earned All-Conference honors.
