WESTBROOK -- Tenacious defensive effort set the tone for the Westbrook-Walnut Grove volleyball team on Thursday as the Chargers downed Pipestone Area 25-16, 29-27, 25-15 to earn their fifth victory in their last six matches.
Leah VanDeWiele ended the match with 17 digs, followed gy 10 apiece from Hadley Jenniges and Sydney Foster. Jenniges also contributed 31 set assists, and Foster’s 10 kills and pair of service aces were both team highs.
Natasha Wahl and Myah Maznio contributed eight and seven kills, respectively.
WWG improves to 6-3 and next hosts No. 6 Russell-Tyler-Ruthton (4-1) on Tuesday at 7:15 p.m.
