PRINGFIELD -- Hadley Jenniges facilitated a balanced attack for the Westbrook-Walnut Grove volleyball team in its season opener against Springfield on Tuesday. The Chargers controlled each of the non-conference match's three sets, claiming a 25-10, 26-24, 25-15 win behind Jenniges' 22 set assists.
On the finishing end of those assists, Natasha Wahl and Sydney Foster each tallied nine kills. Foster's 10 digs were also second only to Leah VanDeWiele's 14.
Maya Wahl put together a strong performance at the service line with four aces.
Kendall Jenniges, Natasha Wahl and Hadley Jenniges each logged an ace block on the night, as well as a block assist for Kendall.
WWG improves to 1-0 on the season and next hosts Minneota (1-0) for its non-conference home opener on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
