TRACY -- Aiden Sanow, Ty Yackley and Jackson Kruse each logged over 100 scrimmage yards for the Tracy-Milroy-Balaton football team on Friday, leading the Panthers to 30 first-quarter points in a 44-22 win over United South Central.
Kruse finished the day with a game-high 107 rushing yards on 11 carries, finding the end zone three times. As a passer, he completed 12 of his 22 attempts for 281 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He also returned the opening kickoff 76 yards to take an early lead, and threw a 99-yard touchdown to Sanow to make the score 14-0.
Sanow and Yackley were his primary targets on the day, each hauling in one touchdown on four receptions. Sanow recorded 132 yards while Yackley finished with 109.
USC scored a pair of first-quarter touchdowns, but TMB responded to the first with a 44-yard touchdown run by Kruse, and an 84-yard touchdown pass to Yackley to make the score 30-14. The Panthers never looked back.
On the defensive side of the ball, Kruse and Sanow tied with a team-high seven solo tackles, including three sacks for a loss of 25 yards by Kruse. Yackley contributed three solo tackles and an interception, and Nolan Verlinde added six solo tackles.
Tracy-Milroy-Balaton improves to 2-0 on the season after doubling up its opponent in each of its first two games. The Panthers face a tall task on Friday, going on the road on Friday to take on perennial state title contender Springfield (2-0) at 7 p.m.
