Tigers fall to New Ulm on the road

NEW ULM -- Marshall girls tennis hit the road for a matchup with New Ulm on Wednesday, with the Tigers falling 5-2.

Marshall and New Ulm split the four singles matches, with Julia Pafko and Emry Jans earning victories for the Tigers.

Pafko cruised to a 6-1, 6-0 victory, while Jans picked up a 6-2, 6-4 win.

Kathryn Coudron battled in her singles match before falling 4-6, 6-3, 6-4. Cora Medina also came up short, falling 6-4, 2-6, 6-1.

New Ulm took control in doubles play, sweeping all three matches to secure the overall 5-2 victory.

The Tigers will look to bounce back in their next meet, traveling to Yellow Medicine East on Sept. 14.
