SPRINGFIELD -- Kenley Guetter's 19 kills weren't enough to come out on top of a five-set Tomahawk Conference battle against Springfield on Tuesday. The Rabbits won the first two sets 28-26 and 25-20, but the Tigers responded with 25-22, 25-20 and 19-17 wins in the ensuing three sets.
Cassie Bliss and Lanna Janeiro-Dolan split setting duties with 22 and 21 set assists, respectively. Dolan's 13 assists trailed only Britta Brand's 14 and Guetter's 15, and her three service aces trailed Brand's four and Guetter's five.
Ava Samyn logged a pair of ace blocks and a pair of block assists, and Kylee Samyn added 10 kills.
Wabasso falls to 5-7 with the loss and aims to bounce back when it hosts Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart (3-10) on Thursday at 7 p.m.
