Rabbits fall to 1-2 following loss to CMC

WABASSO -- Kenley Guetter's strong two-way play wasn't enough to get the Wabasso volleyball team into the win column against Central Minnesota Christian on Thursday night. Guetter led the Rabbits in both kills and digs, but the Bluejays prevailed 25-20, 25-13, 25-22.

Guetter tallied 10 kills and seven digs in the match, and her pair of service aces tied Cendyll Daub for second on the team to Alexa Remiger's three.

Kylee Samyn was second on the team in kills with nine, and Lanna Janeiro-Dolan and Cassie Bliss tied with six digs each.

Bliss and Janeiro-Dolan were also the team's assist leaders with 16 and 10, respectively.

Wabasso falls to 1-2 with the loss and opens Tomahawk Conference play on Thursday when it hosts Sleepy Eye St. Mary's at 7 p.m.
