SLEEPY EYE -- Despite jumping out to a 14-0 lead after the first quarter, TMB football was unable to maintain its momentum as the Panthers fell to Sleepy Eye United 40-28.
Jackson Kruse led TMB at quarterback, throwing for 92 yards and a touchdown. He also had a strong performance on the ground, rushing for 157 yards and three touchdowns.
Kruse frequently targeted Emery Xiong, who finished with eight receptions for 57 yards and a touchdown.
With the loss, TMB falls to 2-2 on the season.
The Panthers will have an opportunity to move back above .500 on Oct. 2 when they host RTR for their homecoming game.
