Minneota rolls to 10th straight win with sweep of LQPV

MINNEOTA -- The Minneota Vikings volleyball team continues to roll.

Following Tuesday night's sweep of Lac qui Parle Valley, Minneota has now won 10 straight matches.

The Vikings cruised to a 25-7, 25-10, 25-6 victory over LQPV, continuing their strong play during their current winning streak.

Leah Coequyt led the Vikings with 12 kills, while Brek Fier recorded two blocks. Coequyt added one block.

Minneota was also strong behind the service line, recording 14 aces in the match. Brynn Rost led the way with five aces, while Libby Sussner added four. Fier finished with three aces and Eden Meagher had two.

Sussner also contributed 17 assists, while Sophie Gillund added nine assists.

With the win, Minneota improved to 16-2 overall and 5-0 in conference play.

The Vikings return to action Thursday, Oct. 2, when they travel to MACCRAY. First serve is scheduled for 7:15 p.m.
