Lancers swept by CMC on the road

PRINSBURG -- Canby volleyball traveled to Central Minnesota Christian on Thursday night, but the Lancers were unable to pick up the road victory, falling in straight sets.

Canby fell by scores of 10-25, 17-25 and 15-25.

Rachel Jelen led the Lancers with four kills, while Rhylin Anderson and Kinsley Verhelst added three kills apiece.

Alexa Vernlund recorded Canby's lone service ace.

Karli Weber had a strong defensive performance in the loss, accounting for all five of the Lancers' blocks.

Canby will return to action this weekend at the Class A Showcase, with matches scheduled for Friday and Saturday.
