COTTONWOOD -- Coming off its first win of the season, Lakeview volleyball returned home looking to keep its momentum going against Murray County Central.
The Lakers did just that, sweeping the Rebels 25-21, 25-21, 25-22 to improve to 2-1 on the season.
Murray County Central did not go down easily, however, as Lakeview had to battle throughout all three sets to complete the sweep.
Taylor Hinz led the way offensively for the Lakers, recording 15 kills in the victory.
The win marked Lakeview's second straight, with the Lakers now having won six of their last seven sets.
Lakeview also received a strong defensive effort, with four players reaching double figures in digs.
Aubrey Pederson led the way with 15 digs, while Adison Hinz and Taylor Hinz each recorded 12. Jersey Stensrud added 10 digs to round out the group.
The Lakers also recorded four blocks in the match, with Taylor Hinz and Allison Isaacs each contributing two.
With two consecutive victories under their belt, the Lakers will look to continue building on their early-season momentum as the schedule continues.
