CANBY -- After dropping the first set of its season-opener against Murray County Central on Tuesday, the Canby volleyball team bounced back with three straight set victories for a 12-25, 25-18, 25-14, 25-19 win.
The Lancers were aggressive at the service line with 18 aces on the day, including six from Shyanna Stoll and four each from Emily and Kinsley Verhelst. Stoll also finished with a game-high 32 set assists as well as five digs.
Karli Weber and Rachel Jelen tallied 10 and nine kills, respectively, and Tatum Christianson contributed five kills with a pair of ace blocks.
Canby improves to 1-0 and next hosts Lac qui Parle Valley (0-1) on Sept. 15 for its Camden Conference opener on Sept. 15 at 7:15 p.m.
Murray County Central (0-1) travels to Cottonwood tonight to take on Lakeview (1-1) at 7:15 p.m.
