Canby shut out at home

CANBY -- Brennan Giese's 75 rushing yards weren't enough to generate momentum for Canby as it fell 40-0 in a football game against MACCRAY on Friday.

Giese led the Lancers offensively with nine carries for 74 yards, and Hunter Kack caught five of his 10 targets for 65 yards. Owen Peterson threw the ball 26 times, completing nine attempts for 116 yards and a pair of interceptions.

Canby falls to 0-2 and next takes on juggernaut rival Minneota (2-0) on Friday at 7 p.m.
