DAWSON -- Canby and Dawson-Boyd battled throughout Tuesday night's volleyball matchup, with the Lancers ultimately coming away with a four-set victory.
Canby prevailed by set scores of 26-24, 25-23, 23-25, 25-15.
Karli Weber and Rachel Jelen were key contributors for the Lancers, with both finishing the night with 10 kills.
Weber also led Canby with four blocks as the Lancers recorded 11 as a team.
Canby was strong from the service line as well, recording 15 aces. Kinsley Verhelst and Shyanna Stoll led the way with four aces apiece.
For Dawson-Boyd, Claire Stratmoen, Kadyn Perkins and Emma Stotesbery each recorded 10 digs. Stotesbery also finished with 25 assists while going 17-for-17 on serves.
Perkins led the Chargers with 10 kills, while Lilly Lee added nine.
Canby returns to action Wednesday, Oct. 1, when it travels to KMS. Dawson-Boyd will host Yellow Medicine East the same night. Both matches are scheduled to begin at 7:15 p.m.
